Meet Your Dentist
Dr. Alejandro Jimenez
DDS, BSc · Founder, The Tooth Place
The dentist you'll see at The Tooth Place: where he trained, why he became a dentist, and what a visit with him is like.
12+ years
He's been practicing for over 12 years.
His story
They'll Tell You He Talks To Them.
Dr. Alejandro studied biology at UC Irvine, earned his dental degree at St. Augustine, and completed a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency through NYU - two extra years of training beyond what's required.
He's been practicing for over 12 years.
But ask his patients what sets him apart and they won't lead with credentials. They'll tell you he talks to them. About what he sees, why he recommends what he recommends - and sometimes about whatever book he's reading that week.
He's the kind of dentist who'd rather enjoy the moment and do right by his patients than rush through the schedule.

In his words
In His Words
Dr. Alejandro JimenezDDS, BSc
When I was young I thought about the things I was good at. Admittedly it was not a lot of things. I enjoyed sports and reading and studying. I thought I would like to either be a dentist or a writer. My parents instilled in me that being a good person was more important than money... then they said you won't make any money writing, be a dentist.
I want to help people. The best thing is I get to help more people being the boss. I love being a dentist. I really enjoy the work and I get to be around people and make their lives better. I'm sure I could make more money by pushing for more expensive treatment or spending less time chatting with patients, but I prefer to enjoy the moment and do right by my employees and patients.
